Hey, everyone! It’s Angie checking in this week, and I thought I’d share some of my latest obsessions with you. I’ve always loved word games, logic puzzles, brain teasers… really anything along those lines, so when the Wordle craze started a couple years ago, I naturally jumped right on the bandwagon. That became the portal that led me to Connections, Strands, and all the other NYT games you’re probably familiar with.
But could I stop there? Oh no. Suddenly I was finding new games in my feed on a weekly basis. Soon I was adding the daily crossword puzzle and Blossom on the Merriam Webster site, Stackdown, and Waffle to my daily dose of puzzling. And I justified that leisurely hour every morning while I was having my coffee by telling myself that when you reach a certain age, exercising the brain is just as important as exercising the body. Right?
Then the brilliant minds behind Waffle released Number Waffle a few weeks ago, and it was like discovering daily gold. I can usually complete the puzzle with a move or two left over, but I’ve only managed to work it perfectly and score five stars ONE time in all those puzzles. And the challenge only makes me obsess even harder… So much so that I had to screenshot my five star puzzle and send the photo to Deanna. LOL.

But none of those games have had me quite as obsessed as Uncrossy. It’s like working a crossword puzzle in reverse to ultimately reveal the starting word/words that the puzzle creator began with. And as an added bonus (or my downfall, if time-wasting is a crime), Uncrossy is archived all the way back to its beginning in August of 2025… which means there are nine months of daily puzzles to catch up on!

Are you a puzzler too? Have any great online puzzle sites you care to share with us? Drop us a line with a link, and you can be sure I’ll give them a try.
In other news, it’s girls’ week in Angieland! Deanna and our friend Lori are here until next Thursday, and we’ll be spending some much-needed downtime crocheting, having cocktails on the porch, terrorizing the neighborhood on the golf cart, and who knows what else. We’ll share some stories and pics next week… provided none of them are too incriminating. 😉
